Background

The Federal Decree-Law No.8 of 2017 on Value Added Tax (VAT) has been issued by the UAE Government, making 1st January 2018 the effective date of VAT implementation. All businesses with revenue exceeding the yearly mandatory threshold for VAT are required to register for VAT and be in compliance with the law.
